Humans are evidence seeking machines
We never stop asking “Why?” and “Is it true?”
We seek evidence that things are, or will, go wrong.
We train in the gym to avoid being fat.
We work to escape poverty.
We approach girls/guys to combat loneliness.
We travel to evade boredom.
When things don’t work out, we say “Ahh see!? I knew this would happen. I prepared for this.”
Why not prepare for success instead? It’s a lot more fun.
At the beginning of every day sit down in silence for ten minutes, and imagine that everything went perfectly.
What would your day look like, if everything was perfect?
You met a hot guy.
You got a raise.
You went to the gym, or yoga, and made sick gains.
You charmed and won your way from dawn until dusk, completing every task, conquered every obstacle, and flowed in a perfect way, all day.
Imagine a week where everything went right.
Imagine a year, or five.
Do this every morning, afternoon, and evening if possible.
When things go right for you, you will say “Oh look. Just like I imagined.”
Rather than preparing for disaster–your days will be spent seeking more evidence that your day-dreams really are coming true.
Every time something great happens you will think “Of course. I foresaw this.”
You will be a prophet.
You will have all the evidence you need–that your life is awesome.
